Farther out, we take jobs in South Riding, Arcola, Falls Church, Brambleton, West Falls Church, Wakefield, Fairfax Station, Bull Run, Annandale, Clifton, Lake Barcroft, Yorkshire, Burke, North Springfield, Manassas Park, Bailey's Crossroads, West Springfield, Lincolnia, Sudley, and Springfield, all in the ten-to-fifteen-mile range from our shop.
A lot of the housing across this whole stretch, spanning 41 named areas, was built between 1940 and 2015, with the bulk of it going up in the 1980s and 90s. That matters for door work: a house from that era is more likely to still have its original torsion hardware, and those parts aren't always sitting on a shelf. If you're outside this radius, call and ask, we'll tell you straight whether it makes sense for us to come out.

When you call, have a few things ready: the brand on your opener if you can see it, whether the door is a single or double, and what it's actually doing, won't open, opens partway and reverses, makes a bang and stops, cable off the drum, that kind of thing. That lets us tell you over the phone whether it sounds like a spring, a cable, a broken roller, or an opener board issue, and roughly what we'll need to bring.
We don't do live chat and we don't have a ticketing system. It's a phone call and a truck. If you get voicemail, leave your address and a callback number, we're usually mid-job, not ignoring you.
After You Call
Once you've told us what the door is doing, we'll give you a rough sense of what's wrong and what it typically involves before anyone shows up. Torsion springs, broken cables, and off-track doors are same-visit fixes in most cases, we carry common spring sizes and standard track hardware on the truck.
Where it gets slower is older opener boards and some original hardware from houses built in the earlier end of that 1940‑2015 range. If a part isn't something we stock, we'll tell you that up front rather than guess, and we'll give you a real timeline instead of a vague one.
On site, we'll open the panel or the opener housing, check the springs, cables, rollers, and tracks, and walk you through what's failing and why, not just swap parts and hand you a bill. If the door's old enough that repair costs start closing in on replacement, we'll say so. Given how much of the housing stock in this area sits in that 1980s-90s band, that conversation comes up more than people expect. We'd rather tell you that than sell you a spring on a door that needs a new opener next year anyway.
Do you come out to Oakton or Great Falls?
Yes. Oakton is about five miles from our Reston shop and Great Falls is about the same distance the other direction, both are inside our regular service radius. Call and give us your address; if you're close to the edge of where we run, we'll tell you honestly whether it's a same-day fit.
How fast can someone get to my house?
It depends on where you are and what's on the truck that day. Closer spots like Wolf Trap or Hunter Mill District tend to be quicker than jobs out toward Manassas Park or Bull Run. Call and we'll give you a real window instead of a guess.
My door is from the 90s, is that a problem?
Not usually a problem, but it does change the job. A lot of houses in this area went up in the 1980s and 90s, and doors from that era often still run original torsion hardware. Some of those parts we carry on the truck; some take a bit longer to source.
What if it turns out I need a whole new door, not a repair?
We'll tell you if that's the case instead of patching something that's on its way out. On an older door, especially one nearing the end of its hardware's life, replacement sometimes costs less over time than repeated repair calls. We'll lay out both options and let you decide.
Do I need to be home for the whole job?
You need to be there to let us in and to talk through what's wrong, but most spring, cable, and roller jobs move fast once we're on site. If it turns into an opener or panel replacement, it'll run longer, we'll tell you a realistic timeframe before we start.
